20th Annual
Celebration Evening Fundraiser

South Street, Pittsfield, MA

For 20 years, Girls Incorporated of the Berkshires, a program of the Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center, has recognized the accomplishments of women and girls in our area with our annual Celebration Evening Fundraiser. Highlights of the event this year:

Recipient of the "She Knows Where She's Going Award": Nancy Woitkowski

$8,000 in scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors through the generosity of the following:

-Ruth & Nicholas Boraski (4)
-Zonta Club of Berkshire County
-Berkshire Community College.
-Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts
-Westfield State College

There a variety of ways you can participate in this event.

1) Attendance at the fundraiser

$50 per person.

2) As en event sponsor

Platinum Sponsors - $1,000 
A Platinum Sponsor will be entitled to a full page ad in the Souvenir Program, admission for 4 at the evening’s Celebration Reception and recognition in print and web advertising.

Gold Sponsor - $750
A Gold Sponsor will be entitled to a half page ad in the Souvenir Program, admission for 2 at the evening's Celebration Reception and recognition in print and web advertising.

Silver Sponsor - $500
A Silver Sponsor will be entitled to a business card ad in the Souvenir Program and recognition in print and web advertising.

Nancy Woitkowski

Catherine Nancy Noonan Woitkowski has touched the lives of thousands of students over a span of 45 years. She retired in 2007 from the Pittsfield Public School System, where she finished her career as Director of Guidance at Taconic High School.

She is currently employed part time by Westfield State College as their Berkshire County Liaison and is a counselor for Project Reconnect.

Nancy was born in Pittsfield and grew up on Pontoosuc Lake with her mom, dad and two younger brothers John and Gregory. While growing up she spent a lot of time at the Pittsfield Girls Club where she took swimming lessons, cooking and sewing classes. She also attended Camp Stevenson and Camp Witawentin. An honor graduate of St. Joseph High School, she received her B.A. degree with a major in mathematics from Elms College, She spent her junior year studying abroad at the University of Louvain in Louvain, Belgium. Nancy earned her M.Ed. at North Adams State College (MCLA). In 1995 she received a CAGS, certificate of advanced graduate studies form American International College.

During her career in education, Nancy served as class advisor and cheerleading advisor for several years. At Taconic High School, she started the student ambassador program and initiated awards night for undergraduate students. She was also a member of Tech Prep, representing Taconic at Berkshire Community College.

Her professional memberships include the Berkshire County Guidance Association, where she is a board member and served as Treasurer for 18 years. As a member of the Mass School Counselor Association (MASCA), she was honored by the group in 2002-2003 as the affiliate counselor of the year. Woitkowski is also on the board of the Citizens Scholarship Foundation and is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Adult Learning Center.

In the community, Woitkowski has taught CCD, has been a member of the Junior League of Berkshire County and served on their board as Chair of Public Relations. She was also board member and co-president of Berkshire Art Association. She was a volunteer at Tanglewood for 34 years and is presently a member of the Berkshire Museum, the Clark Art Institute and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Charles Church.

Woitkowski is currently employed part time by Westfield State College as their Berkshire County Liaison and a counselor for Project Reconnect. She has been married for 42 years to her high school sweetheart, Ray Woitkowski. They have four children, Kara, Jaclyn, Dasen and Raymond as well as two grandchildren, Kate and Jack. Woitkowski hobbies include gardening, traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.
