Position Overview:

The Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and flexible Full-Time Infant/Toddler/Preschool Float Teacher to join our Early Education team. The Float Teacher will work with different classrooms, supporting the infant, toddler, and preschool programs as needed. This position is vital in ensuring consistency of care and high-quality education across our early education classrooms. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a passion for nurturing the development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, filling in as needed based on classroom ratios and staffing needs.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children ages infants to 5 years.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.

  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including diapering, feeding, and monitoring nap times.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of children's progress and incidents.

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center and all applicable licensing and accreditation standards.

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

  • EEC certification in Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool teaching required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, parents, and staff.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and build rapport with staff and children of various ages.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Must pass a background check and meet health requirements as per state regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Business/Office Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking an Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and ensure efficient office operations.

Responsibilities

1. Maintains counter and office areas, registration controls system working to meet Brigham Center goals and objectives.

2. Assists with maintenance of accurate files pertaining to the CACFP (Child & Adult Care Food Program), central records and assists with financial tasks as directed by the Billing Specialist/Office Manager or Finance & Operations Manager.

3. Assists with clerical and data base management including mailings as directed.

5. Assists with distribution of office supplies, related materials and equipment as directed.

6. Performs customer service and public relations duties on the telephone and at the front office window in support of center programs.

7. Maintains of records of newspaper and print articles covering the Brigham Center, Girls Inc. and its associated partners.

8. Assists Support Team and Program Directors with the master building schedule, listing all programs, activities and special events on central calendar, prepares weekly staff meeting minutes.

9. Assists with training of other part-time and volunteer support staff.

10. Represents Brigham Center in the community as appropriate and acts in accord with Brigham Center’s purpose, policies and goals.

11. Performs other duties as requested and agreed upon.

Experience
- Previous experience is desired
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Proficient in computer literacy, including MS Office Suite
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience in administrative tasks such as filing and maintaining records
- Familiarity with phone systems and customer support processes
- Ability to computerize information accurately

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.75 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
